Where do Foxes Live?

Foxes are members of the dog family. The female Detroit fox is known as a vixen while the male fox is known as tod or a dog fox. The baby fox are called cubs, kits or pups. The group of the foxes is called leash or skulk. So far as the matter of animals is concerned, anyone can have a pet animal but no one would like to have an animal that is either dead or wild. So, there are lots of ways through which a person can get rid of the Michigan animals he doesn’t want to keep inside the four walls of the house.

The foxes are most of the time not harmful but it can be important to get rid of them in the rural or urban area when they cause too much problems. The Detroit fox are predators but not dangerous. The fox may not attack the pets and they will not attack the people. However, they will attack chicken. The Michigan foxes can be found in most every place and this is because they have adaptive skills that allow them to thrive even in the bustling urban cities. However, when you live in the towns or rural settings, you may always counter the foxes.

When they are in the urban space, they create the dens and the shelter under the sheds, decks or porches of the Detroit homeowners who may not suspect anything. This is something which is common in the urban space. These places are cozy for the animal and you have to raise the fence if you want to keep the Michigan animals away. However, if it is during the harsh winter and you find a fox near your home, it is good to let it live there for some time and let its children grow if it has them.

In the rural place, the fox can live in the lower forest canopy, crevices between under cliffs, the rock piles, logs, hollow of the trees and the abandoned burrows of the small animals. Since the fox have a mysterious behavior, it is not easy to say where it is more prevalent because the natural habitat is in remote or wild place. The Detroit foxes were found mostly in the rural settings but with the human encroachment, they may be forced to start living in the Michigan settings. In order to make the maters complicated, the foxes may not worry when they have to wonder in the human territories and this is why they are more often found in the urban areas.
